Who We Are

Una familia, una cocina — the people and the passion behind every taco.

Our Story
It began with a comal, a family recipe, and the belief that every Tuesday deserves a fiesta.

Taco Tuesday was born from a simple homesick craving: the smoky char of a trompo turning slowly, the deep red pool of birria consommé, and the smell of fresh corn tortillas that reminded us of home. What started as feeding friends and neighbors on the west side of Detroit grew into a full kitchen — but the heart never changed.

Today, on McNichols Road, we cook the way our grandmothers taught us. We simmer birria for hours until the beef falls apart, we press tortillas by hand, and we roast our salsas over open flame. Nothing rushed, nothing frozen, nothing forgotten.

We named ourselves after the best day of the week — but the truth is, every day we open, it's Taco Tuesday. Tacos, birria y buena vibra: that's the promise, and that's who we are.

What We Stand For

Auténtico

Recipes passed down through generations, cooked with the same care and patience they were made with decades ago. Real Mexican cocina, no shortcuts.

Hecho a Mano

Hand-pressed tortillas, slow-simmered birria, salsas roasted fresh each morning. We believe the best flavor comes from doing things the honest way.

Buena Vibra

We treat every guest like family at our table. Come hungry, leave happy — the warmth of our kitchen is served with every plate.

Our Promise

“Cook with heart, serve with pride, and make every day feel like a celebration.”
